Work pages, a boot screen and one motion system
A busy week on the portfolio, with some admin work on a client project.
This site
- Work. An in-flow Work section,
/work/[slug]routes with consistent numbering, and case-study pages with real screenshots. - Boot screen. A terminal-style preloader timed with CSS.
- Motion. Scroll reveals, hero parallax and the marquee, all on one motion system.
- Home. A fixed identity panel with a portrait, live time, date and viewers, a GitHub heatmap under the marquee recoloured to the site's red, and a note of where the viewer is watching from.
- Layout. Side panels now stay mounted across every route.
- Quality. A Lighthouse pass covering contrast, focus and touch targets, plus fixes for a theme hydration mismatch and a few client-side navigation links.
- SEO. Per-page canonicals, Open Graph images for home, blog and weekly pages, RSS feeds, sitemap dates and Vercel analytics.
I added interaction sounds early in the week, off by default, and removed the toggle and the sounds again the next day.
Salonjaa client portal
- Admin client form: editable email, server-generated password, +91 phone.
- Password reset when a client's email changes, and a GitHub-style client delete.
- Viewable payment requests with soft-cancel, admin modals portaled to
document.body, and an admin receipt download.
